Presentation
Giving a presentation at the end of the Inquiry is an important task to communicate your findings to an audience. Think of your presentation is like telling a story (for more on this idea see ‘The Storyteller’s Secret’). Below are some tools and suggestions on how you can effectively present.
Tips
Use a Slide template – either from within Google Slides or imported from Slidesmania or Slidescarnival

Designing a presentation
Use a Colour wheel to get colours that ‘sing together’. Choose colours that are either Analogic (beside each other) or Complementary (opposite on the colour wheel). Coolors and Designs.ai are other great sites to help you develop a colour palette.
Choose 2 fonts (try fonts.google.com)
Incorporate some of Canva's Design principles into your presentation
Tools
There are a range of different tools you can use to create your presentation. Have a go at some of these:
Google Slides
Think Google Slides is a simple tool? Check out this link for how awesome you could make your presentation. You can make quite complex designs. To learn some skills in how to change shape, text and images, made a copy of this slide presentation and work your way through.
Prezi
This is an online presentation application that can help you organise information in a non-linear way (as opposed to a Powerpoint). After creating an account, you can start from a template or make your own original Prezi. You can start with a basic tutorial then expand your skills from there. You can also easily share your Prezi with others by providing a link in your blog or even embedding it in a page. Here are some examples of Family History Prezis:

Family history – Kathryn Merrill
Another great example is the Ocean Clean up Prezi
Adobe Spark
Adobe Spark allows the creation of beautiful graphics, web pages, and video stories in minutes. Adobe Spark is free for all TBC students. To get started login with your TBC account at https://spark.adobe.com/
Sign in with your Google account and use this online design programme. Has a great start up tutorial and a heap of free to use images and fonts. Choose from a variety of templates including presentations.
PowerPoint for the Web
Microsoft's presentation tool has a great feature that you can use to practice your presentation and it will give you feedback on pacing and how to improve.
